Bloodborne Pathogens

This two hour training course is designed to provide a basic understanding of blood borne pathogens; common modes of their transmission; methods of prevention inclusive of personal protective equipment; work practices and engineering controls; recordkeeping; how to develop an exposure control plan; and other pertinent information. This program is designed to meet the requirements of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA’s) Bloodbome Pathogen Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1030.

Persons who could potentially be exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials such as, but
not limited to, sewage, medical waste, belongings contaminated with body fluids, etc. as a result of performing their job duties are required to complete this training as per OSHA regulations.
